A summer in Spain done right: a city, the coast, and an island. Below is how I'd build a ten-day loop without ever feeling rushed.

Barcelona

Classics, architecture & experiences

Two and a half days is the sweet spot. Stay in El Born or Eixample, eat dinner late, and book Sagrada Família tickets well in advance.

Beaches, coves & coastal views

Skip Palma's strip and base in Deià or Sóller for the mountain villages and quieter coves. Rent a car — it's the only way to actually see the island.

Classics, parks & experiences

The food capital. Stay in Salamanca for the boutique side or La Latina for the bar scene. Always end the night with churros at San Ginés.
